About me
I am Allix Davis currently a Computer science student from London ,England. I have two brothers that are somewhat different to me. They have a life that is separate from mine. I am non-smoker that took the decision from a early age, I could simply not stand the smell coming from my friends clothes at school.
I do enjoy a good Czech Plzen or to lay back to a Guinness . I am a avid reader of obscure literature which implies I will most likely not read anything from the best-seller section in a local bookstore.
My ears can penetrate a solid variety of music, Abba to Zepplin and almost anything in-between. My first concert was seeing R.E.M in Milton Keynes when I was only 11 with my father who was also a lot younger
Since then Ive gone to see many underground bands in the uk. Almost at one point seeing 3 bands a week.
When I am out of London, I love to take the opportunity to explore many countries. I am not the type to sit on the sand at any chance when the word holiday comes to mind, I prefer to explore the nooks and crannies of a country. Some of my photos shows my passion in seeing a new country and trying to capture the moment I witness.
I think its a duty for anyone living to care what happens around him, I understand fully that people have so much on there minds with there personal lives to not have time for politics and what is happening around the world. I do where I can find out as much as I can about a topic from many sides and not just what falls in front of us by the very media that only “sees” it fits in with their “agenda”.
I have a soft spot for arthouse films and non-english cinema, I have decided that there are a lot better films than what Hollywood can offer. From Luis Buñuel through to the delights of Ingmar Bergman masterpieces such as Persona and one of my favourite anti-war films Shame. Sergei Parajanov’s The Color of Pomegranates has not in my eyes been matched since, the symbolism is astonishing to see. Andrei Tarkovsky has changed the way I look at films.
The rare occasion I have a cocktail
