A winter poem

My head looks around the room
The untidy appearance for me to see
Where I have to live and consume
It is as if I am beside the sea
Through the window snow is composed
Snowflakes glisten at the celestial sphere
I observe the snowmen quietly unopposed
The roof of my neighbours home sheds tear
For the winter is almost ended
Silence is interrupted by a family member
My brother happily announces school is suspended
A sound is created for which I suddenly remember
From when I was a little child
Not a sign of fear and doubt
As long as I kept my upward smile
They would have no need to shout
